What is Missed Flight Cover and how do I cancel it?

Missed Flight Cover by easyJet is available for customers who wish to insure themselves for missing their booked flight. To take advantage of this, simply select the Missed Flight Cover option as you book your flights online.

If you miss your flight and arrive at the airport within 4 hours of its scheduled departure, and have missed flight cover:

• We'll get you on the next available flight to the same destination (to keep you on your journey)
OR
• Fully refund your original ticket – your choice (terms and conditions apply).

easyJet FLEXI fares are available on all routes and provide unlimited flexibility to change the date of your flights up to two hours prior to the scheduled departure time.

Our seats are sold to customers on a first-come, first-served basis, and fares generally increase as seats are sold. So the earlier you book, the more you save!

How to create an easyJet account and receiving updates

If you’re making an online booking for the first time you will need to create an easyJet account. Registering with us is a one-time process and all future purchases at easyJet.com will be completely secure. Once you have created your 'My easyJet account' you should login for all future bookings. This will help us know who you are and help with filling out some of the booking details.

Making a change

Making a change or cancelling your booking

When you book to travel with us, the tickets you buy are non-refundable.  However, we do understand that sometimes plans change and you may need to amend your booking so we’ve tried to be as fair as we can when applying fees and charges.

On average it takes around 200 days for us to sell all of the seats on a plane. If you decide to change your flights, the amount of notice we get determines whether or not we are able to resell the seats.  At more than 60 days to go we may be able to resell the seats, so we charge you a lower fee to make the change.  However, if you’re making the change with less than 60 days to go, it is very likely the seat will fly empty, so we ask you to make a larger contribution to this.

How do I check a booking?

If you get an error message your booking is unlikely to have been successful.

If you’re not sure whether the booking was successful for any reason please do not just make another booking as you may end up getting charged twice.

To check your bookings, login to My easyJet first and if your booking has been successful you will be able to see it in there. If you cannot find details of your booking in My easyJet then you can try booking again. If you are still having problems please call our customer service team on  0871 789 5786 who will be happy to help you.


Catching an earlier flight

Can I take an earlier flight if I get to the airport early?

We understand that sometimes plans change and you might want to get an earlier flight home. If there is availability you can transfer onto an earlier flight departing on the same day for a small change fee, direct from our mobile app or at our airport customer service desks. With our mobile app you can start checking availability any time on the day of your original return flight. Alternatively, if you arrive at the airport early, you’ll be able to check availability at our customer service desk from 3 hours to 60 minutes (90 minutes at Airports in Egypt and Morocco) before the flight you want to transfer to.

For added ease, you can also transfer onto an earlier flight departing or arriving at a different airport, as long as it’s within the same city or location as your original booking. Example airports within the same city or location:

  • London (Gatwick, Luton, Southend or Stansted)
  • Paris (Paris Charles de Gaulle, Paris Orly)
  • Milan (Milan Linate, Milan Malpensa)
  • Central Scotland (Edinburgh, Glasgow)
  • North West England (Liverpool, Manchester)

If you’re an easyJet Plus passenger you can change to an earlier flight for free at the customer service desk by showing a valid easyJet Plus card.

It’s quick and easy to make most changes through Manage bookings on easyJet.com. Some changes are free but fees do apply for flight date, route, time and name changes.

Rebooking

How to rebook a cancelled flight

We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused by the cancellation of your flight. We only cancel flights for safety reasons or as a last resort due to unforeseen operational difficulties. 

Please find some information on how to rebook your flight. You may transfer to another flight within 30 days of the original flight date:

  • If you booked your flight through easyJet.com you will be able to rebook your flight and a related inbound flight in the same booking free of charge in My easyJet, at the Customer service desk in the airport or via our customer service Call 0871 789 5786
  • If you did not book your flight through easyJet.com you will need to arrange for your flight to be rebooked at either the Customer service desk in the airport or via our customer service, Call 0871 789 5786
