I can't find my address / error in address:
If your address isn't listed when you try to sign up to TalkTalk, or there is an error in the address details listed, you will need to contact Royal Mail. If your home is a new build, it could be that it hasn't been added to the Post Office records yet.
Visit the Royal Mail website to add or amend your address details. Once Royal Mail has confirmed the address creation or amendment, it can take up to 24hrs for it to update on our systems. Please try placing your order again after that time.

Can I keep my Phone Number?
We aim to make joining us as easy as possible, and in most cases we can help you bring your number to TalkTalk. When you place your order we'll let you know if this is possible, and if we can't transfer your number, we'll provide you with a new one.
I don't have a landline phone number or line, can I join?
Of course. We offer a great value new line installation service for just £50. An engineer will need to visit your home to install your new line, and we'll arrange a convenient date and time with you when you place your order.
The new line installation charge will be added to your first TalkTalk bill. For more information and to sign up, see our plans. When you have selected your chosen package, simply select New to TalkTalk, then click the link for 'Don't have a landline number?' which will allow you to sign up without entering a phone number.
Do I need to contact my old provider?
Your services with your old provider will usually cease when your TalkTalk services go live, but it's worthwhile checking with them once everything is up and running just to make sure your previous contract has ended.
How long does it take?
We aim to get your services activated as soon as possible. Your activation date will depend on whether we're activating your existing line or installing a new line.
Your activation date will be approximately 15 days after you placed your order. You'll receive your router in the post shortly before your services are due to be activated. You can check your activation date in your welcome pack or visit Track my order.
New Line Installations: Your activation date will depend on the date you have chosen for your engineer visit. You can check this in your welcome pack or visit Track my order.

Moving home with TalkTalk
We know you'll be wanting to get online as soon you get into your new home, so we've made the process as quick and easy as we can.
So we can make sure we get you moved smoothly, you just need to give us a few details and a minimum of 14 days' notice, then you can tick it off your list. We've looked at the three stages of your move, and answered the most common questions our customers have.
How much will a new line cost?
If you join us from another provider, we can usually take over your existing line. We'll provide you with an activation date for your new service, and you'll only be charged our standard setup fee which covers connecting your line to our network, the postage and packaging of your brand new Super Router and arranging an engineer visit if needed.

If you don't have an active line or you would like a new one, we offer great value new line installations. We can also reconnect an inactive line to your home. New line installation or reactivation of an existing line is priced according to your package, as detailed below, and will be added to your first bill.
We'll provide you with a date for your new line to be connected, and you'll be charged our new line setup fee; covering the connection of your line to our network, the postage and packaging of your brand new Super Router and the engineer work required to set up the new line.
